Updates for Medicaid Providers – Study Casts, Web Portal Claims Submissions, Billable Hygiene Codes
February 18, 2011 Colorado Medicaid recently published provider updates, which included several dental-specific changes. Medicaid clarified that no dental provider (including orthodontists) should submit diagnostic models or study casts with claims or prior authorization requests, unless specifically requested by the Medicaid program.

Red Flags Legislation Signed by President Obama

State Revisions to X-Ray Rules Continue
December 13, 2010 The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) proposed changes to its radiology (x-ray) regulations in late October 2010. The department also revised regulations in October 2009 and May 2010. Under the newest revisions, penalties for lack of compliance have been increased.
