The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has mailed postcards to dentists letting them know about a new annual x-ray facility registration fee that is due by April 30, 2016. Dentists will be required to pay a $50 fee and update their facility information each year moving forward.
How to Register
- Visit the CDPHE website to complete the X-Ray Facility Registration (Form R-4).
- Select “Annual Facility Registration ($50 Fee Required)” on Form R-4. Your facility will be invoiced separately for the facility registration fee.
- When you register, have your X-Ray Facility Registration number handy.
When this change was considered, the CDA advocated for the profession on multiple occasions, expressing concern that with these fee increases, dentistry might be paying more than its proportionate share of fees compared to other regulated entities. Despite these efforts, the CDPHE Board of Health voted to implement increased fees.
