Volunteer for the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM)—and help celebrate 10 years of free dental care! Volunteer registration is open for the 2016 COMOM June 17-18 at Brush High School in Brush, Colo. This is the 10th anniversary of the clinic, and COMOM is celebrating by “Brushing its way to Brush!” Volunteer to help, and be a part of the celebration.
Dentists, dental hygienists, lab technicians, assistants and non-clinical volunteers—about 1,000 volunteers in total—will work together to provide free dental services to Coloradans in need of oral healthcare.
Volunteer dentists are especially needed and can work in triage, administer local anesthetic and provide treatment in the clinic’s various departments (oral surgery, restorative, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics). Find a full list of volunteer opportunities.
About COMOM
Too many Coloradans lack access to basic dental care. COMOM is a portable, 125-chair dental clinic set up in a large public arena that provides free dental screenings and treatment to children and adults who cannot afford or access dental care. COMOM volunteers eliminate dental pain, promote oral health, create smiles, and provide oral health education. Since the clinic’s inception, COMOM has served more than 12,000 patients and provided approximately $9.6 million in donated dental care.
