The CDA is saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Jacob Eisenson, a longtime leader in dentistry in the state of Colorado and in the association. He was 96 years old.
Dr. Eisenson, CDA president from 1982-1983, received his D.D.S. degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1950. Specializing in pedodontics, Dr. Eisenson served as the president of the Colorado Society of Pedodontics and of the Colorado Section of the American Society of Dentistry for Children (ASDC). From 1977-1978, he served as president of the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS). During his esteemed career, he was recognized with many awards, including the Distinguished Award from the Colorado Unit ASDC and the Honus Maximus Award from MDDS, for his contributions to the dental profession. Dr. Eisenson also served in the U.S. military during World War II. At the former location of the CDA and MDDS headquarters in Denver, a conference room was named in his honor, commemorating his dedication and service to the dental profession.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 29 at 11 a.m. at Fort Logan. (Arrive at Staging Area A by 10:45am; cars will be led to a gathering spot on the property.)
