Medicaid Reimbursement Increase
July 24, 2013 The CDA worked during the 2013 legislative session to improve Medicaid for participating dentists. As of July 1, 2013, Medicaid reimbursement rates for dentists who accept Medicaid increased by 4.5%. This rate increase was a substantial victory for dentists who have seen disproportionate cuts in their Medicaid provider rates through the years.

Important HIPAA Changes for Patient Record Requests
March 28, 2013 On March 26, new HIPAA requirements for patient records took effect. If your dental office uses electronic records systems, you may now be required to provide electronic copies of records to patients who request them. Dental offices can no longer simply provide printed records in lieu of electronic copies.
