Phase 1B Vaccine Distribution: Dental Settings
Dental professionals have been placed in Phase 1B for vaccine distribution, and are currently eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination.
Vaccine distribution is being coordinated at the county level through public health departments as well as at the state level through CDPHE.

While vaccine availability and distribution varies among counties, Phase 1B has begun in several areas.
In addition to the below list, access a statewide map here of vaccine locations.
Safeway/Albertsons pharmacies statewide are also administering the vaccine at this time to frontline workers, health professionals, and individuals over 70 years old.

Adams & Arapahoe County: Tri-County Health Department will begin providing vaccines to Phase 1B pre-approved healthcare workers the week of Jan. 4, 2021 through a closed scheduling system. At this time, TCHD does not have enough vaccine to reach out to those who have not yet been pre-approved. If you are a healthcare provider interested in becoming pre-approved, please email callcenter@tchd.org.
- Adams County: Clinica Family Health is creating a waiting list of eligible community members for COVID-19 vaccines in its five locations in Adams, Broomfield, and Boulder counties. Depending on vaccine availability, dental professionals on the waiting list will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis, typically 24-48 hours ahead of the available vaccination time slot.

Alamosa County: While limited at this time, Alamosa County Public Health is starting to have some ability to provide COVID-19 vaccines. It can provide vaccines to anyone “above the dotted line” in the Colorado 1A and 1B phases, including individuals age 70 and above. If you would like to be added to a list to receive a vaccination when they are available, call 719-480-8719.

Some counties will progress through the vaccine phases faster than others due to community size and distribution resources.
Dental professions and other eligible individuals can access a map of locations on the CDPHE COVID-19 Vaccine Webpage. You do NOT need to be a patient at these provider sites to sign-up for a vaccine.

On Dec. 9, 2020, Gov. Jared Polis conducted a press conference with a presentation announcing the state's COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Plan for Providers.
Dentists were placed in Phase 1B, following the highest risk healthcare workers and individuals who have direct contact with COVID-19 patients for 15-minutes or more over a 24-hour period. This also includes long-term care facility staff and residents.
Phase 1B includes healthcare workers with less direct contact with COVID-19 patients and specifically dental professionals.
