Renew Your Dental License by Feb. 28

Molly PereiraFeatured News

All Colorado dentist and dental hygienist licenses must be renewed by Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, through the Colorado Dental Board website. If you have not already done so, renew your state dental license before it expires. Dentists and dental hygienists are not permitted to practice dentistry without a current license.

The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) administers the license renewal process. License renewal notices were emailed this year, so be sure the email address you have on file with the dental board is up-to-date. You can update your contact information, including your email address, on the dental board website.

Helpful Hints

  • Don’t forget to update your Healthcare Professions Profile before renewing your license.
  • You need to document and attest to completion of continuing education (CE) credits for this license renewal. During license renewal, you will check a box indicated that you have completed the required 30 hours of CE, along with associated requirements, since March 1, 2016. Read more about the requirements.

If you experience technical issues when renewing your license online, email dora_dpo_renewalline@state.co.us. For all other inquiries regarding your renewal or if you cannot access online services, call DORA’s license renewal support office at 303-894-7800.

Please Note: The CDA is not responsible for dental licenses and is not directly involved in license renewal; however, we make every effort to inform members about this process, as licensure is a critical piece of your dental practice. We have provided this notice as a member benefit to CDA dentists.
