Earlier this year, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) introduced H.R. 4818, a bill that would address two common insurance practices that can diminish the value of patients’ coverage. To help pass this important insurance reform bill, the ADA is asking for help in collecting real-life stories about your patients who have experienced:
- financial impacts from being covered by more than one plan and being denied payment by the secondary plan simply because it was a secondary payer, or
- adverse impacts from to going to you as a non-participating provider and being unable to assign their plan benefits directly to you.
