The Colorado Dental Health Care Program for Low-Income Seniors (Senior Dental Program) grant was recently renewed by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. All current grant recipients of the Senior Dental Program are required to reapply for grant funds, and new grant applications are welcome at this time.
The Senior Dental Program provides approximately $3M in grants throughout the state to local Areas on Aging, public health agencies, Federally Qualified Health Centers, safety-net clinics, community-based organizations and private dental practices. Since the program was established, a combined 8,558 seniors have been provided with 53,699 dental procedures.
Providers in the following counties are encouraged to apply: Archuleta, Baca, Cheyenne, Delta, Dolores, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Huerfano, Kiowa, La Plata, Las Animas, Mineral, Moffat, Montezuma, Ouray, Park, Prowers, Rio Blanco, Routt, Saguache, San Juan and San Miguel. Completed grant proposal and materials are due to the department by close of business on Feb. 1, 2019.
