Dr. James H. Pearce, Jr. (8-28-1930 to 1-31-2021)
Dr. James Pearce, a retired endodontist and CDA past president (1986-1987) passed away at the age of 90. A 1955 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, Dr. Pearce served two years in the Dental Corps of the U.S. Air Force, then practiced privately in Denver until 1990.
Dr. Pearce was a past president of the CDA, the Rocky Mountain Dental Study Club and the Denver Dental Forum. He served as a trustee of the ADA and as the director of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (now Dental Lifeline Network). He was a national presenter in endodontics and a perennial instructor in the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) Study Club program. Honors included the Honus Maximus Award by MDDS, CDA Distinguished Service Award and Honorary Alumnus of the CU School of Dentistry. Read his full obituary here.
