Dental license renewal is available starting the week of Jan. 15, 2018, through the Colorado Dental Board website. All Colorado dentist and dental hygienist licenses must be renewed by Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. If you have not already done so, renew your state dental license before it expires. Dentists and dental hygienists are not permitted to practice dentistry without a current license. Click on “Renew a License” on the Colorado Dental Board website to get started.
The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) administers the license renewal process. All license renewal notices will be emailed this year, so be sure the email address you have on file with the dental board is up-to-date. You can update your contact information, including your email address, on the dental board website. The email DORA will send is your renewal notice and will contain additional instructions on how to renew your license.
Helpful Hints
- Don’t forget to update your Healthcare Professions Profile form before renewing your license.
- You need to document and attest to completion of continuing education (CE) credits for this license renewal. During license renewal, you will check a box indicated that you have completed the required 30 hours of CE, along with associated requirements, since March 1, 2016.
If you experience technical issues when renewing your license online, email dora_dpo_renewalline@state.co.us. For all other inquiries regarding your renewal or if you cannot access online services, call DORA’s license renewal support office at 303-894-7800.
Please Note: The CDA is not responsible for dental licenses and is not directly involved in license renewal; however, we make every effort to inform members about this process, as licensure is a critical piece of your dental practice. We have provided this notice as a member benefit to CDA dentists.
