Please mark your calendar! This year’s Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM) will be held at the Phil Long Expo Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2010 (patient treatment days are Oct. 1-2).

We welcome you and your dental team members to join us this year. Nearly 800 volunteers are needed for this event and we encourage both clinical and non-clinical individuals to register.

If you haven’t volunteered in the past, COMOM is a large-scale, 100-chair portable dental clinic. It is held in a different area of Colorado annually and offers free dental treatment to adults and children who cannot afford dental services. Volunteers literally transform an open warehouse-type space into a fully-functional dental clinic in less than 24 hours, and then open the doors to the public for two days of donated treatment. Dental care is offered first-come, first-served and the dental clinic volunteers provide cleanings, restorative services, extractions, root canals, limited prosthodontic services and dental education.

Online registration and more information will be coming soon to the Colorado Dental Association’s Website: cdaonline.org. To view the video from the 2009 COMOM in Brighton, Colo., click here!
