Dr. Calvin D. Utke is the new president of the Colorado Dental Association. He is a general dentist and has a private practice in Colorado Springs, Colo. He has practiced dentistry in Colorado for 29 years. He received his D.D.S. from Creighton University in 1984.
Dr. Utke has served as an officer of the Colorado Dental Association for four years, and a member of the association’s Finance Council for 10 years. Prior to that, he held every leadership position within the Colorado Springs Dental Society. In 2010, Dr. Utke was the site chair of the Colorado Mission of Mercy, a portable 100-chair dental clinic that provides free dental treatment to those who need it most. Under his leadership, over 1,400 patients were cared for in just two days in Colorado Springs, Colo. Dr. Utke is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry.
