The Colorado State Board of Dental Examiners will have four vacant positions available in January 2013. The state will appoint two dentists, one hygienist and one public member to fill these vacant positions on the board. Each appointment will be for a four year term. The commitment to serve on the state board includes participation in quarterly full board meetings, monthly panel meetings and additional committee meetings throughout the year.
If you are interested in a board position, or know someone who would be good in the role, please contact the CDA at 303-740-6900 or 800-343-3010 for an application. Please also consider whether your dental hygienist, or a dental hygienist you know, would be a good candidate. Applications should be submitted to the state by Dec. 1, 2012.
In particular, applications are needed from general dentists outside the Denver and Boulder metro areas, as well as from candidates who can contribute to the gender, ethnic and geographic diversity of the board.
