Yesterday, several CDA dentists attended a Cinco de Mayo fundraising event. The low-dollar Democratic Party event provided good visibility for CODPAC and the opportunity to talk with a couple legislators about dental issues.
The CDA had the chance to thank the sponsor of this session’s Medicaid “carve out” bill for her support on that issue and to discuss other dental issues extensively. We also spoke learned new information from a state Senator about friendships she has with several dentists outside of her district.
CODPAC makes every attempt to balance its interaction with both political parties and to frame dental issues in a bipartisan manner. This was a productive event for CODPAC, which will be ramping up its activities as the legislative session ends next week.
