The CDA recently became aware of an invoice scam targeting dental practices. While this scam isn’t new, it continues to prey on dentists. Dental offices have reported receiving invoices from a Media Pages company, but these offices don’t use the company’s services.
According to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), this is an ongoing scam. The BBB has received several complaints from consumers who have received collection invoices from this company ranging from $490 to $600 for supposed media advertisement listings. None of the consumers have had any dealings with a company by this name. When the company is contacted, it responds to the complaints simply by stating they will cancel the account and remove all charges.
