The Colorado Dental Association welcomes its 139th president, Dr. Jeff Lodl. Dr. Lodl has a long history of volunteering for professional dentistry and in the community and has been in private practice in Wheat Ridge and Arvada since 1987.

“It is important to volunteer for the CDA to help keep dentistry moving forward,” Dr. Lodl said. “The CDA does a tremendous amount of advocacy for Coloradans and the dentists and hygienists who practice here.”

Dr. Lodl has many goals for his one-year tenure that include increasing the value of membership to all Colorado dentists, continuing strong advocacy both for the dental profession and for patients and protecting the Adult Medicaid Dental Benefit.

Volunteering holds a special place in Dr. Lodl’s life because he believes in helping change people’s lives through dentistry. He began volunteering for Dental Lifeline Network in 1988 and then joined their Board of Directors in 2006, became vice president in 2012 and president in 2020. He has also volunteered for Kids in Need of Dentistry and Give Kids a Smile Day.

Not only does he give back to the community, but he has long given back to the dental profession. In addition to his role as CDA president, he currently serves on CDA’s Medicaid Committee, Government Relations Council, New Dentist Council and Membership Council. In the past, he has served on the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) Board of Directors and was the Jefferson County Chapter president. Dr. Lodl served as the CDA Trustee from MDDS from 2018-2024. He is a Life Member of the Colorado Prosthodontic Society and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Lodl graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 1986 and completed a General Practice Residency at Denver General Hospital in 1987.

When he is not working or volunteering, Dr. Lodl enjoys the outdoors, downhill skiing, hiking, golfing, fishing and photography.
