After you’ve kicked off your holiday shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, consider giving back to help a good cause—the CDA Foundation—as part of the Giving Tuesday movement Nov. 28.
What the Foundation Supports
The CDA Foundation supports many aspects of dentistry, helping causes that affect anyone from dental students to those with established practices and retirees.
Recently, the CDA has supported the American Dental Association Foundation Emergency Disaster Grant after hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico and fires in California affected many dentists. The CDA Foundation was honored to support those relief efforts by providing a $5,000 grant.
At the 2017 CDA Annual Session in Beaver Creek, Colo., the Past President’s Reception doubled as a fundraiser for the CDA Foundation. The first-ever Bitte Geben Biergarten raised $6,000 through the sale of CDA Foundation-branded beer steins. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly toward funding scholarships for University of Colorado dental students.
