The state of Colorado currently has almost $1M of grant funding available for organizations and providers who provide dental care to seniors eligible for Old Age Pension (OAP) assistance. The deadline to apply for the grant funding is Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.

Grant funding through the OAP Dental Program must be used to treat individuals 60 years or older, who live in Colorado and receive OAP public assistance from the state of Colorado. The fee schedule for this program was recently updated to better align with the allowable fees of private dental benefit plans.  The state, hoping more private dental providers – especially providers in the Denver metro area, will apply for grant funding through the program as a result of these updates.

If you are interested in applying for grant funds to help deliver care to the OAP senior population, please click here for a copy of the application guidelines. For access to all application documents, visit the “FY14 RFA” section under the “Old Age Pension Program” tab on the state’s Oral Health Unit Webpage.
