The location of the 2017 CDA Annual Session has changed. The meeting will now be at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Hotel and Spa in Beaver Creek, Colo., instead of the originally contracted Vail Cascade/Hotel Talisa property in Vail, Colo. Annual Session dates remain the same, June 9-11, 2017.
The CDA contracted with the Vail Cascade Hotel in 2015 to be the host hotel for the 2017 Annual Session. After the contract was signed, the Vail Cascade was sold. The new owners closed the hotel to remodel what will be known as Hotel Talisa and guaranteed completion of the remodel well before the CDA was to hold its 2017 Annual Session there. In May, the CDA was informed the hotel renovations would not be completed in time for the 2017 Annual Session.
Just 15 minutes west of Hotel Talisa is the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, which was able to accommodate the Annual Session meeting at the last minute.
The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa is just 15 minutes west of the original Annual Session venue, Hotel Talisa in Vail, Colo. It’s located at 136 E. Thomas Pl., Beaver Creek, CO 81620.
The good news is that your room rate will remain at $139 per night (excluding tax). The better news is that the resort fee has been waived at the Park Hyatt and the parking fee has been reduced to $10 per night (that’s a $5 savings from the Hotel Talisa’s fees).
The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek allows a maximum of two dogs weighing up to 70 pounds each. A onetime $100 fee applies to rooms with canine guests.

You do NOT need to cancel any room reservations made at Hotel Talisa. Those reservations will be automatically cancelled. Your credit card was not charged at the time of reservation; no refund is needed.

Everyone attending Annual Session must register. If you’ve volunteered to be a delegate at the House of Delegates June 10, you are not automatically registered as an Annual Session attendee. To register, go online. You can also download a paper registration form.
