If you have at least 5 years of experience in the practice of dentistry and are interested in sharing your expertise with a colleague, you could be a practice monitor. The dentist practice monitor role makes it possible to protect the public and at the same time provide support for dentists who are making changes in their practices and in their lives.
As a practice monitor, you can help dentists who have experienced a health-related or substandard-care issue requiring their practice be monitored. Monitors provide direct monitoring service to another dentist, evaluate the practice in regular site visits and offer suggestions and support. Monitors enter a fee-for-service agreement with the monitored dentist for a specific time.
The Colorado Dental Board and the Dental Peer Health Assistance Program will be hosting the Annual Dentist Practice Monitor Training on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. This training will be held at Peer Assistance Services, Inc. at 2170 S. Parker Road, Suite 229, Denver, CO 80231 from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
If you have any questions about this program or to RSVP, please call Rachel Steffl at 303-369-0039, ext. 219.
