The Colorado Dental Board has organized a sleep apnea workgroup to draft new rules and policies regarding sleep apnea services offered by dentists.
Reason for the Review
The Dental Practice Act defines dentistry and details what constitutes the practice of dentistry, but the topic of sleep apnea is not specifically addressed in these law, nor is it clarified through the board rules or policies.
Join the Conversation
The board has announced its first meeting, which is open to the public. The CDA encourages members who might be affected by these changes to share their opinions with the workgroup.
