Colorado Medicaid recently published provider updates, which included several dental-specific changes. Medicaid clarified that no dental provider (including orthodontists) should submit diagnostic models or study casts with claims or prior authorization requests, unless specifically requested by the Medicaid program.
Medicaid also updated its online billing portal with two additional options for the place where service was provided. Ambulatory surgery centers and schools were added to the drop down list in the billing program.
