Dental Board Discontinues Sleep Apnea Policy Discussions

Molly PereiraFeatured News

At its October meeting, the Colorado Dental Board voted to discontinue discussions and take no further action on sleep apnea. No rule or policy will be considered or adopted by the board at this time, meaning the current status quo prevails (which leaves some uncertainty in terms of policy and enforcement).

The board conducted discussions on sleep apnea in executive session with no public participation and has given no explanation as to why it took this action. Any questions about the process or future actions can be directed to Department of Regulatory Affairs administrators or Colorado Dental Board staff.
