Join us live, in-person with your dental teams for best practices in attraction, development, and retention of “right-fit” people for your dental team. We will dive into the legal and cultural aspects of how to hire and fire, motivate and mentor, and “train so they remain.”  We will also focus on the critical components of building a high-performing team and culture. This course is designed for all team members with a focus for dentists and office managers.

After attending this course, the participant will be able to:

1. Define mission critical techniques for attraction, development, and retention of the best candidates and employees.
2. Discover the legal do’s and don’ts in building back your team.
3. List the advantages and attributes of a practice focused on mentorship and training.
4. Discuss the core essentials of a high-performing team.
5. Describe the critical attributes and what to look for in new employees.
6. Share best practices of what works in today’s very tight labor market.

Presenters:

Brad Guyton D.D.S., M.B.A., M.P.H., serves as Chief Dental Officer for Delta Dental of Colorado and Delta Dental of Virginia. He is an Associate Professor and Course Director for Practice Management, Ethics and Professionalism at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and practices clinical dentistry in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Guyton serves on boards for dental schools and dental foundations, is a Fellow in the ACD, and a member of the ADA, CDA, VDA, and AGD.

Kelli Ogunsanya, serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Delta Dental of Colorado where she is responsible for claims processing operations, call center operations, project governance, and provider relations. Kelli earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University College of Public Health. Internationally, she has studied and worked in South Africa, Liberia, and Ethiopia. Kelli is a published author an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan State University’s College of Health and Applied Sciences.
