About COMOM
Seeing a growing need for access to basic dental care, the Colorado Dental Association and its dentists organized an annual volunteer program to offer help: the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM). COMOM is a portable, 100-chair dental clinic set up in a large public arena that provides free dental screenings and treatment to children and adults. Through past events, COMOM treated almost 7,000 patients and provided over $4.5 million in free care. Patients from all areas of Colorado attend and benefit from this free clinic.
Constituent Outreach and Involvement
If you have constituents that meet the criteria to attend COMOM (see “who should come to COMOM” and “what to expect”), you are welcome inform them about the event. This can be a great constituent service.
COMOM also offers great volunteer opportunities for those in your community that might be looking for a way to give back. Many community groups like the girl scouts, rotary club, church groups and more have been involved with past COMOMs. For more information, visit the volunteer information page.
