Do you ever receive a Microsoft attachment that your computer can’t open? Chances are the attachment was created in a version of Microsoft that is newer than the version you have on your machine.

If the attachment ends in .docx (rather than .doc), this document was created in a newer version of Microsoft Word. Likewise, if you receive a document ending in .xlsx (rather than .xls), this spreadsheet was created in a newer version of Microsoft Excel.

As time goes on, these file types are becoming more and more common. The good news is that you don’t need to buy more software to open these attachments; you simply need to download the FREE conversion pack from Microsoft that will allow you to open these files in the future. You can download the free converter by clicking here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en.
