Leigh Olson and Judy Holmes, J.D., will present this course, which is sponsored by the CDA and ADA CERP. This interactive and entertaining course uses real-life case studies to help attendees learn the skills to be more effective dealing with workplace conflict. This course will include live demonstrations, small group exercises and lectures.
Course Objectives
1. Attendees will explore conflict resolution techniques that work best with each practice and each employee type.
2. Attendees will assess their own personalities and learn effective responses to workplace conflict.
3. Attendees will receive the tools and policies necessary to develop a positive workplace culture and minimize conflict.
4. Attendees will learn how problem employees can adversely affect a practice and can lead to suits and claims.
5. Attendees will learn how to effectively integrate different philosophies, cultures and policies into a growing practice.

About the Presenters
Leigh is the owner of Nova Consulting and speaker and cofounder of the Colorado Dental Manager’s Association. Leigh’s background and experience have resulted in her unique approach that blends a traditional objective style with the intuitive or soft side of business management and team development. With more than 20 years of experience in people management, training and team building in the dental and healthcare industry, Leigh often is referred to as the “business counselor.”
Judy received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Colorado College and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver. She has practiced law for more than 30 years and has extensive trial experience, defending both healthcare providers in medical negligence cases and employers in employment-related suits. Her practice currently focuses on employment law and risk management strategies, primarily for healthcare providers.
