The CDA was invited to take part in the 25th annual Youth Water Festival. Aurora Water puts on this festival for about 1,600 Aurora and Cherry Creek public school fifth graders. This year’s theme was “Small Changes = Big Savings: Turn Off the Water While Brushing Your Teeth.”
The CDA, along with Delta Dental of Colorado, DentaQuest, Kids in Need of Dentistry, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation, donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, and educational materials to support the event.
Representatives from these organizations, including CDA Associate Executive Director/Operations Molly Pereira, staffed a booth that promoted the festival’s message about conserving water and an oral health-focused message about the benefits of choosing water over soda.
