On Jan. 30, HB 1227 – the 2014 Sunset Review of the Dental Practice Act – was introduced before the state House of Representatives. 2014 marks a year where the laws that govern dentistry are reviewed and potentially revised. Many of CDA’s priority recommendations, including continuing education and anesthesia updates, were included in the introduced bill draft. The bill still has a long legislative process ahead, but is off to a good start for the dental profession. The CDA will continue to provide updates throughout this process.
