This spring, for the first time, Colorado will offer a dental benefit under Medicaid for adults. Details are still being worked out and the process to establish a non-state adminstrator for the benefit is underway. This benefit will qualify over 300,000 adults in the state for dental care. To address this influx in dental patients, the CDA created “Take 5,” a program that asks all dentists to treat 5 Medicaid families or patients each year.
