The Colorado State Board of Dental Examiners (SBDE) will have two vacant positions available as of January 2014. The state will appoint one dentist and one public member to fill these vacant positions. Each appointment will be for a four-year term. The commitment to serve on the State Board includes participation in quarterly full board, monthly panel and additional committee meetings throughout the year.
If you are interested in a board position – or know someone who would be good in the role – please contact the CDA at 303-740-6900 or 800-343-3010 for an application. Applications should be submitted to the state by Friday, Nov. 15, 2013.
In particular, applications are needed from general dentists, as well as from candidates who can contribute to the gender, ethnic and geographic diversity of the board. If you have applied for a state board position previously, the state keeps applications on file for two years and you should not need to resubmit your application within this time frame.
