I turned 61 last month, but haven’t had a health or dental plan until about a year ago, when I got covered through Medicaid.
I used my dental coverage to get brand new dentures. My old pair would barely stay in my mouth. I guess that’s unsurprising—I had been using them for 20 years straight, unable to afford a new pair until now. The new dentures didn’t cost me a thing. When I found that out, it was a huge relief.
Thanks to my Medicaid dental benefit, I can eat almost anything I want again. Life is good.
