If you have at least five years of experience in the practice of dentistry and are interested in sharing your expertise with a colleague, you could be a practice monitor. As a practice monitor, you can help dentists who have experienced a health-related or substandard care issue requiring their dental practice be monitored.
Monitors provide direct monitoring service to another dentist, evaluate the practice during regular site visits, and offer suggestions and support. Monitors enter a fee-for-service agreement with the monitored dentist for a specific time.
The Colorado State Board of Dental Examiners and the Dental Peer Assistance Program will be presenting Dentist Practice Monitor Training on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. This training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Colorado Board of Dental Examiners offices at 1560 Broadway, First Floor, Denver, CO 80202.
