This session, presented by Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler, will take us on a journey of exploring the six, most prominent, barriers to advancing health equity in our work. The exploration will allow each participant an opportunity to reflect on personal and professional conundrums and learn tips and tools to disrupt those barriers as they are happening. As an additional tool, this session will include a snapshot of examples of what health equity looks like in the national landscape.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler is the Chief Catalyst and Founder of The Equity Project, LLC. She is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Inclusion Officer for Children’s Hospital Colorado. She also served as the Executive Director of the Office of Human Resources for the City and County of Denver. She is an accredited consultant by the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence and recipient of the Cornell University Diversity & Inclusion certification. Dr. Mosby Tyler is nationally recognized for her equity work with non-profit, community, government and corporate organizations. And, holds a doctorate in the field of Organizational Leadership, a Master of Arts degree in Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
