During this time when dental offices are limiting their patient schedules to emergent cases, the CDA has been asked by hospitals for PPE donations of all kinds. If your office has any extra PPE supplies that you will not need for emergency dental procedures, we encourage you to help these medical organizations:

Drop off your contributions at the most convenient of locations in these areas. The CDA Foundation will provide a PPE tax-credit letter for donations over $250.00.

Needed Items:
Any PPE that has not been previously used, is in its original packaging and can satisfy certain medical-grade PPE specifications. Homemade products, for example, would not be usable. Questions regarding eligible donations can be directed to PPEdonations@childrenscolorado.org.
Drop-Off Instructions: Donated products can be delivered to the dock of the main hospital, Anschutz Medical Campus, located on 17th Avenue during 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Supplies after 5 p.m. or on Sat/Sun can still be brought to the dock, but you must call security to open the gate and then call Central Supply (which is staffed 24/7) to have someone open the dock door (CS number is posted on the dock door at the top of the ramp). After hours and on weekends, smaller donations can also be left at the Welcome Desk at the Main Hospital Entrance.

Or, contact JJ Pooley at 303-882-6309 to have someone stop by the dental office to collect the items.

Inventory and Drop-Off Instructions: Keep the bare minimum amount of supply you need to conduct essential or life saving functions, and contribute the remainder to the state’s COVID19 response. If you have small quantities of supplies to contribute, between 1-25 boxes of personal protective equipment (i.e., six boxes of protective eye glasses) donate these supplies to your local public health department, local community health center, community clinic, or local hospital. If you have more than 25 boxes, or the pieces of larger equipment such as anesthesia machines or ventilators, fill out THIS FORM by March 27 at noon, so it can be determined if these items are needed in the emergency supply. The state will follow up with you to determine next steps.
