Do you know your Internet connection speed? Take this quick test to find out!

Does your computer take longer than it should to open Web pages? Do downloads take more than a few seconds? If you answered yes to either of the above questions, your internet connection speed might be the problem.

Here is a simple and quick way to test your connection speed – these 3 steps will take less than one minute.

  1. Go to http://www.auditmypc.com/internet-speed-test.asp.
  2. Scroll down and click on “start” below the green and pink graph (the test should take less than a minute and is safe for your machine).
  3. Your connection speed will appear on the graph when the test is finished.

How did you rate?
Notice the measurements on the right side of the graph. Your connection speed should be at least 1 Megabit per second (Mbps). If it is less than 1 Mbps, it’s a good idea to check with you internet provider about upgrading your options. A measurement of 3 Mbps is average and anything above 3 Mbps should keep your computer cruising just fine.
