Many victims of identity theft don’t know they’ve been compromised until it’s too late. Stolen identities are becoming more and more common in this rapidly expanding digital age. With tax season upon us, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released a series of video tax tips designed to provide people critical information to help protect their tax and financial data.
The videos, part of the continuing Security Summit effort combating identity theft and refund fraud, is part of an ongoing effort to educate taxpayers and provide them tools to stay safe online. The six-video series features information on tax return fraud, Wi-Fi security, credit reports, protecting your passwords, and more.
