In mid-June, the CDA alerted members to questionable practices by some vendors related to PCI (payment card industry) credit card processing compliance. PCI compliance concerns the security of credit card information. At least one company has engaged in some questionable marketing tactics related to PCI compliance. If you have questions about PCI or how to become PCI compliant, please call your credit card processor. Your credit card processor should be able to provide all needed information on compliance and is likely to have already taken care of this for you. You should not need to use the services of a third-party to aid in compliance activities.
