In May, the CDA New Dentist Committee held one of its regular study club sessions but introduced a new live streaming option for dentists who live outside the metro area or who had a scheduling conflict the evening of the seminar. This option was met with positive feedback and will be offered again on Sept. 19 at the next study club program.
The May 23 study club featured information about the Dale Carnegie skill of building conversation blocks for effective communication. To watch this study club online, visit the New Dentist Committee Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/ColoradoNewDentistCommittee. Live streaming also offers the possibility of video archiving, so dentists can “attend” the course at a date and time convenient for them.
The next New Dentist Study Club is Sept. 19. A panel of speakers from the legal firm of Mastin, Hoffman & Crews will present information about legal issues that dental practices face, like contracts, covenants, partnerships, tax requirements, employment law issues and more. This seminar will be available to those who wish to attend in person or online. Registration for the September meeting will begin in August.
In addition, look for extended Dale Carnegie training offered by the CDA and Dale Carnegie of Colorado in future months.
