Dr. Andre Gillespie opened a new dinosaur-themed practice in Aurora last month. Dr. Gillespie, deemed the “dino dentist,” has been recognized across the country and even internationally for his unique practice design. See a recent news story at http://www.denverpost.com/ci_15381527
Dr. Brett Kessler was recognized by the ADA New Dentist Committee with a Golden Apple Award for outstanding leadership in mentoring. The Golden Apple award is awarded to a select few that go above and beyond in their commitment to mentor students and junior faculty. It is a rare distinction and tremendous honor. Congratulations Dr. Kessler!
Dr. Elmer Villalon completed his third and final year on the Council for the American Academy of Orofacial Pain in April 2010. In May, he received a five-year appointment as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Orofacial Pain.
Interested in providing dental care in the Dominican Republic? The Haitian and Dominican Assistance Corporation (HADAC) is seeking dental professionals to volunteer in a brand new clinic outside the town of Sosua. The organization is dedicated to offering medical and dental care to those in need in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. In addition to volunteers, HADAC is seeking equipment and supply donations.
