June 10, 2010
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing sent a notice this week regarding Medicaid claims and reimbursement:
- Any Medicaid claims submitted by June 11 will be paid on June 18, as usual.
- However, any Medicaid claims submitted after June 11 will NOT BE PAID UNTIL July 9.
Why, from the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing:
The end-of-the-year forecast of revenues is lower than expected, and they are at risk of not being able to meet reserves requirements for the 2009/2010 fiscal year. They have been asked to delay provider payments by two weeks, as was proposed earlier in the fiscal year.
Contact information:
If for any reason the decision is reversed, a notice will be posted on the Provider Claim Reports (PCRs) and on the Provider Services Web page at colorado.gov/hcpf. If you have questions about claims processing or the payment cycle, please contact Provider Services at 303-534-0146 or 800-237-0757. If you have questions about the department’s policy, please contact Joanne Lindsay at Joanne.Lindsay@state.co.us or 303-866-3144.
