Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) Day is right around the corner, on Friday, Feb. 2. Dental offices are encouraged to offer GKAS programs in their offices as part of this day of donating dental services to children in need of care.
If you registered your GKAS program with the ADA Foundation, check the list of 2018 GKAS Product Recipients to see if you were chosen to receive free Henry Schein and/or Colgate kits.
To help you get the word out about your program, the CDA will list your GKAS event on the CDA website so school nurses and the public easily can find GKAS appointments across the state. To have your program listed, email the following information to molly@cdaonline.org:
- dentist’s name
- office address (where GKAS event will take place)
- phone number for appointments
- Spanish speaking/bilingual ability
- unique details regarding your event (i.e. hygiene only, screenings only, etc.).
About GKAS
GKAS is the nation’s largest proactive approach to help children from low-income families with their dental needs and to draw attention to the problem many families face when trying to access basic dental care. GKAS takes place in every state, and Colorado is fortunate to boast one of the nation’s success stories for this program.
