Yesterday, the CDA testified before the House Judiciary committee on the need to set standards, including a requirement of U.S. licensure, for those reviewing insurance claims. The CDA’s involvement on HB 1234 – a bill that would require those that deny claims to be U.S. licensed and have expertise in the field of practice involved in the claim – comes in response to a move by a major insurer to outsource some claims processing to dentists in India.
