DESCRIPTION:September 9\, 6:00-8:30 p.m.\nPaddle boarding is back by popular demand! Join the CDA New Dentist Committee for a fun social evening on the water! Denver Outdoor Adventure and their certified instructors will lead us in standup paddle boarding for all fitness levels\, which is quickly becoming one of the most popular sports in Colorado. We will paddle through sunset and finish at dusk. Afterward\, enjoy some adult beverages\, light snacks and good company on the beach. All adults and levels of paddlers welcome. Meet at Eagle’s Cove at Chatfield Reservoir in Littleton\, CO. Get directions here. \nTimeline:\n6:00 p.m. Check-in and get your rental (or inflate your board\, if you’re bringing your own).\n6:20 p.m. Mandatory safety and best practices talk.\n6:30 p.m. Time to launch the boards and head out for a 60-minute social paddle!\n7:30 p.m. Arrive back on the beach to enjoy beverages\, light snacks and conversation. \nCost:\n$20 for CDA Members needing a paddleboard rental and life jacket\n$7 CDA Members/Guests bringing their own paddleboards\n$35 for Non-Members/Guests needing a paddleboard rental and life jacket \nAll participants will be required to wear a life jacket per Colorado state law and sign a waiver. Extra life jackets will be on hand for people to use bringing their own paddleboard/kayak. Join the CDA’s NDC for bRUNch Running on Saturday\, September 29 for some fitness\, food and fun. \n5K Starts & Ends at Denver Milk Market\n1800 Wazee Street ##100 Denver CO 80202 \nSchedule:\n8:45 a.m.: check-in time for the run in front of Morning Jones Coffee\n9:00 a.m.: Let’s run (walk\, skip or stroll)\n9:30 a.m. – Noon: B.Y.O.B. (Buy Your Own Brunch) mix n’ mingle \nIt’s free to run and you can purchase brunch a la carte at one of the amazing concepts at the historic Dairy Block so come brunch unapologetically with the NDC. The bRUNch Run is held rain\, snow\, or shine. All runners old enough to imbibe will receive a complimentary KEEL vodka beverage that can be paired with some Real Dill Bloody Mary Mix\, Sunshine\, or orange juice post-run! He is an Associate Professor and Course Director for Practice Management\, Ethics and Professionalism at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and practices clinical dentistry in Denver\, Colorado. Dr. Guyton serves on boards for dental schools and dental foundations\, is a Fellow in the ACD\, and a member of the ADA\, CDA\, VDA\, and AGD. \nKelli Ogunsanya\, serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Delta Dental of Colorado where she is responsible for claims processing operations\, call center operations\, project governance\, and provider relations. Kelli earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University College of Public Health. Internationally\, she has studied and worked in South Africa\, Liberia\, and Ethiopia. Kelli is a published author an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan State University’s College of Health and Applied Sciences.
