The CDA advocates to continually improve the quality, availability, affordability and utilization of oral healthcare services. Contributions help us continue our work and promote easy access to dental care for Coloradoans. The CDA has several programs to choose from when considering a gift.
The CDA Foundation offers support to a wide variety of community oral health projects and non-profit organizations. Giving an unrestricted charitable gift helps to bridge the gap between program resources and needs. In addition, you have the option to remember or recognize someone who has played an important role in your life or career through a tribute gift. An ideal acknowledgement for significant life events such as retirement, promotion, graduation, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and memorials. These gifts are a powerful way to speak from your heart and provide a lasting tribute to a friend, colleague or loved one, and contribute valuable support to the CDA Foundation.
Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM)
COMOM is a large-scale portable dental clinic that provides free dental treatment to children, adults and the elderly. Treatment is provided first-come, first-served to individuals who are without the means to afford dental care. This clinic boasts over 100 chairs and is a life changing experience for both patients and volunteers. Your contributions to COMOM directly help those who are underserved, changing lives one patient at a time.
Legislative Action Funds
CO Political Giving
The Colorado Dental Political Action Committee (CODPAC) and the Colorado Dental Small Donor Committee (CDSDC) give bipartisan contributions to support state legislators who help advance dentistry and oral health in Colorado. Funds contributed to CODPAC and CDSDC help ensure the success of the CDA’s political efforts at the state capitol. The first $50 you give to the CO Political Giving fund each year will be directed to the CDSDC. A dentist may give only $50 to the CDSDC each year, but the CDSDC can give 10 times more than CODPAC to support friendly state legislators, making it a powerful political tool. Any additional funds given to the CO Political Giving fund in a calendar year will be directed to CODPAC, up to CODPAC’s individual giving limit of $525 per election cycle. Contributions to CODPAC and CDSDC are not deductible as charitable contributions for tax purposes.
ADPAC is a political action committee that raises money to support federal legislators who understand the importance of dentistry and are committed to oral health. ADPAC is a critical piece of our political program’s success.
