Each day, dentists educate patients who use tobacco products about the benefits of cessation. In recent media, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has promoted its tobacco education campaign, Tips from Former Smokers, to raise awareness about the suffering caused by smoking and secondhand smoke exposure.
The CDC has also launched its “Talk with Your Doctor” initiative to encourage the pubic to seek information and help. The CDC has several free resources available for use by healthcare providers. Click here to download these tools and learn more.
