About COMOM

Seeing a growing need for access to basic dental care, the Colorado Dental Association and its dentists organized an annual volunteer program to offer help: the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM).  COMOM is a portable, 100-chair dental clinic set up in a large public arena that provides free dental screenings and treatment to children and adults.  Through past events, COMOM treated almost 7,000 patients and provided over $4.5 million in free care.  Patients from all areas of Colorado attend and benefit from this free clinic.

Constituent Outreach and Involvement
If you have constituents that meet the criteria to attend COMOM (see “who should come to COMOM” and "what to expect"), you are welcome inform them about the event. This can be a great constituent service.

COMOM also offers great volunteer opportunities for those in your community that might be looking for a way to give back.  Many community groups like the girl scouts, rotary club, church groups and more have been involved with past COMOMs.  For more information, visit the volunteer information page.

About COMOM

A startling number of Coloradans lack access to basic dental care.  Seeing a growing need, the Colorado Dental Association and its dentists organized an annual volunteer program to offer help: the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM).

COMOM is a portable, 100-chair dental clinic set up in a large public arena that provides free dental screenings and treatment to children and adults.  Through past events, COMOM treated over 4,000 patients and provided over $3 million in free care.  Patients from all areas of Colorado attend and benefit from this free clinic.

This year COMOM will be in Colorado Springs.  Please take an hour on Friday, Oct. 1 or Saturday, Oct. 2 to come see first-hand the positive impact that COMOM plays in the lives of patients in need.  COMOM provides an excellent forum for legislators and public officials to meet with a diverse group of constituents, gather input on healthcare policy and recognize those who often get left behind in the healthcare equation.
