Peer Assistance Services Survey

Attention prescribers of controlled substances.  Peer Assistance Services is conducting a survey to gather opinions, identify practices and evaluate awareness around the issue of prescription drug abuse with the intent of developing a plan to increase prescribers’ knowledge and education on this issue.  The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and can be done online.  The first 125 participants who fill out the survey are mailed a $15 Starbucks coupon. CDA Responds on 9 News to American Heart Association Report

The Colorado Dental Association responded to a late breaking report by the American Heart Association that made media headlines.  The report stated that "current scientific evidence does not establish a cause and effect relationship between gum disease and heart disease or stroke." Ask Your State Legislator to Support SB 108: Dental Care for Pregnant Moms

On Friday, Feb. 17, approximately 50 dentists assembled at the Colorado State Capitol to talk with state legislators about a bill to promote sustainable oral health practices and efficiency in our state’s Medicaid dental benefit. SB 108, sponsored by Sen. Jeanne Nicholson of Black Hawk, would provide basic dental care to pregnant mothers.
