LIL042011The Ladies in the Loupe group was established to allow women dentists the opportunity to network and meet their female colleagues, in addition to providing a forum to discuss issues of importance to women dentists.  Following the brunch, roundtable discussions were held to address topics such as balancing professional and personal demands, developing action plans, and advertising/marketing the dental practice.  The afternoon concluded with each table telling their funniest dental-related story.  The grand prize was a lovely garden hat, deservingly won by Dr. Celia Turner of Eaton, Colo.

LIL012011Evaluations were sent to attendees, and the response was extremely positive and enthusiastic.  100% of the survey responders said that attending the Ladies in the Loupe brunch was a good use of their valuable time, and over 90% of respondents stated that they would recommend attending a Ladies in the Loupe event to their friends and colleagues. One comment shared was, “[Ladies in the Loupe] made me very proud to be a part of this group of women.”
